Other Ways to Give

Other Ways to Give

The Sacramento SPCA is an independent, local non-profit organization and is not affiliated with any other local or national animal organization. We are dependent on donations of all kinds to continue our work on behalf of the animals. Look below to see all the other ways you can give to the animals.

We Pay to Spay Sponsor Opportunity

Shelters like the Sacramento SPCA care for thousands of homeless and surrendered animals each year. Because of limited space and resources, not all animals are able to receive the help they so desperately need. Spaying and/or neutering your dog will ensure more dogs are not surrendered to the Sacramento SPCA. While all breeds are at risk for overpopulation and homelessness, a high percentage of animals surrendered at community shelters are pit bull and pit bull mixes (pit bull/mixes). In 2015, 22% of dogs surrendered to the Sacramento SPCA were classified as pit bull or pit bull mixes.

Feral and Community Cat Clinic Sponsorship

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) estimates that there are tens of millions of community cats roaming throughout the country.  Our region is home to a countless number of these cats.  Community cats are cats that are born and raised in the wild or have been abandoned or lost and turned to wild ways to survive. Community cats typically live in a colony which occupies a specific territory where food and shelter can be found.

Workplace Giving
Help the Animals while you work!

Participating in your company’s employee giving campaign leverages the link between your professional life and your commitment to the Sacramento SPCA. Many companies match employee donations dollar-for-dollar, meaning your donation of $45 per month can be worth more than $1,000 each year.

Our Wishlist

It’s only through your generosity and compassion that we are able to care for thousands of homeless and abandoned animals in our community each year. Your donations of any of these items are welcome. Each is tax-deductible.

For Pets’ Sake Program

The Sacramento SPCA’s For Pets’ Sake Program has placed more than 100 doghouse-shaped donation canisters in businesses throughout the greater Sacramento region. The money raised from this program is used to supplement our lifesaving programs.
