Camp Kindness

General information

Camp Kindness at the Sacramento SPCA is a fun-filled way for kids to learn more about dogs, cats, and other companion animals. Designed to foster awareness about animals, Camp Kindness will include games, crafts, tours, guest speakers, animal-related education, professional demonstrations, veterinary observation, discussions, and plenty of fun!

Assistant Camp Counselor Volunteers

Earn volunteer hours for school by assisting with Camp Kindness! Assistant Camp Counselors will work under the supervision of the Sacramento SPCA’s Humane Education Coordinator and will assist with all aspects of Camp Kindness. Duties will include daily set-up and clean-up, assisting campers with craft projects, distributing snacks and other materials, assisting with supervision of animal encounters, and taking out adoptable cats, kittens, and puppies for the campers to socialize. Counselors must be 14 years of age or older.
