In 2016, the Sacramento SPCA began sharing shelter data with Shelter Animals Count, a standardized national database compiling animal shelter statistics for multiple species (live intakes, live outcomes, other/non-live outcomes, and animal counts) for more than 7,000 participating organizations.

Beginning January of 2025, the monthly Animal Intake/Outcome Report generated from Shelter Animals Count will be posted on our website.
