The Camp Kindness experience is for ages 7-9, 10-12, and 13-15. Following Sacramento City Unified School District’s academic calendar, we hold these camps every Spring, Summer, Thanksgiving, and Winter Break. Registration opens 6 weeks before the start of each camp.
During Camp Kindness, children learn about animal welfare, how these topics relate to the Sacramento community, and most importantly, have fun! Some activities include socializing shelter pets, making pet toys for our animals, pet-themed crafting, and various presentations from Sacramento SPCA staff & outside rescue organizations.
Scholarships, funded by Gilmore Heating, Air, & Plumbing, are available for each camp to those that qualify through the Energy Assistance Program Rate (EAPR) by SMUD or California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) program by PG&E (must provide copy of current utility bill with name and address) or proof of participation in CalFresh, EBT, or parent’s enrollment in Medi-Cal. Please do not register your child for a camp session if you are applying for a scholarship.
