The Sacramento SPCA hosts numerous annual events as a way to involve the community in its mission to help abandoned and unwanted animals find the love and care they deserve. Through special events, the Sacramento SPCA is able to raise funds to care for the thousands of animals that come to its shelter each year.

Spring book sale– March 21-29, 2015
Find a good read and help animals in need! This nine-day book sale features thousands of gently used books in a variety of categories. Join us at Sunrise Mall.

Doggy Dash – June 6, 2015
Grab your pooch and head to William Land Park for a scenic and fun walk to help raise money for shelter animals. After the walk, check out the festivities in the park from the Camp Kindness Kid Zone and the Ruff Mutter. Or participate in a variety of contests from a pup talent show to pug races.

Lasher Polo Classic – September 12, 2015
Don’t miss the this unique opportunity to experience the heart-stopping thrill of polo. This benefit event, set at the beautiful Chamberlain Ranch in Wilton, features an exhibition polo match, food, fine wines, a champagne divot stomp and parade of hats and so much more.

Fall book sale – November 12-15, 2015
