Sacramento Pet Food Bank

The Sacramento Pet Food Bank is sponsored by the Animal Care Partners of Sacramento, a collaboration of the City of Sacramento Animal Care Services, Sacramento County Animal Care and Regulation, the Sacramento Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), and Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary.  Please click the Pet Food Bank link above for more information.

Sacramento SPCA Pet Food Bank Guidelines:

  • Pet food can be picked up at the Sacramento SPCA once per month while supplies last.
  • The Sacramento SPCA does not provide a pet food delivery service.
  • Please have your driver’s license ready for the Sacramento SPCA receptionist each time you visit.
  • Please list all household members.
  • Your pet(s) must be spayed or neutered in order to take advantage of the Sacramento SPCA Pet Food Bank.  Please bring a spay/neuter certificate for each pet.

      • Sacramento SPCA (by appointment only)

        • Free Spay/Neuter for Pit Bulls – (916) 504-2817
      • Sacramento City Residents (volunteer-managed, not operated by the shelter) – (916) 808-7387 or www.cityofsacramento.org/generalservices/animal-care
      • Sacramento County Residents – (916) 368-7387 (Press option 5) or www.saccountyshelter.net
  • Pet owners receiving food from the Sacramento SPCA are asked not to add any more pets to their household once signed up for this program.  You will only receive enough food for the animals you have listed at registration.
  • Proof of eligibility (e.g. public assistance) is NOT required.
  • Pet food may be picked up at the Sacramento SPCA Animal Services Building (6201 Florin Perkins Road, Sacramento) Wednesday through Sunday from 11AM to 6PM.
