VACCINATION, MICROCHIP AND LICENSING CLINIC 

PLEASE NOTE!  Our Monday vaccination/microchip/licensing clinic is CLOSED for the holiday on Monday, January 16 

Vaccines and microchips are available from 11AM to 4PM on Mondays ONLY in the lobby of the Sacramento SPCA Receiving Building, 6201 Florin Perkins Road , Sacramento.  Please be aware that wait times can be very long.

No appointment necessary!

 PLEASE NOTE!

Dogs should be on leash and cats should be in carriers.

Please bring your previous rabies certificate if you have one available as vaccines are good for one year unless proof of previous vaccination can be provided. If proof of previous vaccination is provided then vaccines are valid for a three year period.

We cannot handle animals that may be aggressive towards people or other animals, and do not accept feral cats at our Monday vaccination clinics.  If your animal is aggressive, please see your local veterinarian for services.   

 

 Vaccination Fees

Combination vaccines are dogs, DHPP (distemper, heptatitis, parvo, parainfluenza); Cats, FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calici, panleukopenia).

Licensing Fees

City of Sacramento
Effective April 19, 2007, the City of Sacramento increased their licensing fees for dogs and cats. Show dog and cat fees are indicated below, however proof of show dog/cat participation and registration is required. Please call the City of Sacramento Animal Care Services at (916) 808-PETS or click here to visit the City of Sacramento website for specific information on these requirements.

*Exemptions: Animals certified in writing by a licensed veterinarian to be too young, too old or generally not healthy enough for spay/neuter surgery may receive an exemption and will be assessed the altered license fee of $15. For young animals, a letter from the veterinarian stating that the animal is too young can serve as proof of eligibility for the exemption. A license for $15 for one year may be obtained, and when the license is renewed, the owner can bring proof of spay/neuter and pay the altered fee of $15 for one to three years.
**$45 Reduced Unaltered Fee: The reduced unaltered license is available to competition dogs and cats and working ranch dogs. A reduced unaltered license does not allow the animal to be bred. Any animal that is bred must have an unaltered license. Please visit Sacramento County Animal Care and Regulation Website for more information and downloadable application forms.
