The Sacramento SPCA hosts numerous annual events as a way to involve the community in its mission to help abandoned and unwanted animals find the love and care they deserve. Through special events, the Sacramento SPCA is able to raise funds to care for thousands of animals that come to its shelter each year.

Spring book sale - See you again in 2015!
Find a good read and help animals in need! This nine-day book sale features thousands of gently used books in a variety of categories. Taking place at the Sunrise Mall in Citrus Heights.
Paws, Pals & Putts Golf Tournament – May 5, 2014
This 18-hole golf scramble is held at Del Paso Country Club and includes a helicopter ball drop, an awards dinner and a live auction. Proceeds benefit the 11,500 animals that the Sacramento SPCA helps care for each year.
Doggy Dash 2014 - June 7, 2014
Grab your pooch and head to Land Park for a scenic and fun walk to help raise money for the shelter animals. After the walk, stroll through the Bark at the Park Festival where you can purchase fantastic pet product and learn more about your favorite specialty shops and other area businesses. Or participate in a variety of contests from a fashion pup show to a Frisbee contest.
Lasher Polo Classic - September 27, 2014
Don’t miss the this unique opportunity to experience the heart-stopping thrill of polo. This benefit event, set at the beautiful Chamberlain Ranch in Wilton, features an exhibition polo match, food, fine wines, a champagne divot stomp and parade of hats and so much more.
Any organization or group can raise money for the Sacramento SPCA by hosting an independent event or project. Check out these upcoming third-party events!
