Hercules was surrendered to us by his heartbroken family who couldn’t afford his veterinary care. He suffered a back injury that compressed the discs in his vertebrae causing his back legs to be paralyzed. With nowhere to turn, his family decided that giving up Hercules was better than putting him down. They pleaded with us to save his life and find him a good home. Today, Hercules is recovering and learning to walk again. His positive and happy attitude are contagious to anyone who meets him.
There are so many ways that you can help us help the animals. You can make a one-time gift, become a Constant Companion by setting up a monthly donation, give a gift in memory or in honor of a pet or human friend or family member and on and on. See all the ways you can give below.
Becoming a member of the Sacramento SPCA helps support our vital mission to save animal lives. With your membership donation of $20 or more, you will receive a Sacramento SPCA decal, a one-year subscription to our newsletter, Heartline, and you will be enrolled in our new online community. Higher-level memberships enroll you in the Sacramento SPCA’s Paw Club. (Gold Paw members are included on the Sacramento SPCA major donor wall.)
At the Sacramento SPCA, nearly one out of four animals needs some kind of veterinary care before they can be ready for adoption into a new home. Veterinary care needs range anywhere from something as simple as flea medication or teeth cleaning to critical life-saving surgery. Each year, there are more animals in need of homes than there are homes available to adopt them. As demand for our services continues to grow, the Sacramento SPCA is pleased to offer naming opportunities as a way to help homeless pets in our community. You can choose to feature your name or the name of a beloved person or pet on any of the available locations.
Your generosity will provide shelter, high quality medical care, and homes for thousands of animals that many never have had a chance without your help.
The Sacramento SPCA has appreciated outstanding support from businesses and professionals throughout the Sacramento region. This support allows us to provide programs to help keep people and their pets together as well as provide a safe and nurturing environment for unwanted, abandoned and mistreated pets until they can be permanently placed into loving homes.
We are very pleased to offer event sponsorship and project partnerships designed to enhance those relationships and provide proper recognition of our business partners.
The Sacramento SPCA is an independent, local non-profit organization and is not affiliated with any other local or national animal organization. We are dependent on donations of all kinds to continue our work on behalf of the animals. Look below to see all the other ways you can give to the animals.
