SACRAMENTO SPCA 2012 HIGHLIGHTS
- SPCA veterinarians performed 23,799 spay/neuter surgeries, including 2,871 feral cat surgeries and 1,303 free “We Pay to Spay” pit bull spay/neuter surgeries
- 1,171 animals benefitted from time in foster care prior to adoption
- We held free monthly vaccination clinics for pets owned by senior citizens with 1,735 free vaccines given
- We placed more than 5,600 animals in new homes
- More than 2,300 dedicated volunteers donated over 37,000 hours of their time to help the animals
