Four Great Ways to Help the Animals at the Sacramento SPCA

1)Our Thrift Store desperately needs your donations of household items, clothing, jewelry, books, etc. Drop off donations at the store at 1517 E Street Tuesday-Saturday from 10-3 (Sunday and Monday, please call first). For pick-up, call 442-8118. Proceeds from our Thrift Store directly benefit the animals at the Sacramento SPCA. Please donate your gently used items today!

2)Our dogs need beds. Kuranda beds provide shelter dogs with a soft, dry, elevated place to relax...something every dog deserves. Kuranda's "Donate A Bed" program enables individuals to donate beds to the Sacramento SPCA at a discounted price. The donated bed will be sent directly to the SPCA in your name. Your donation is 30% to 35% off of Kuranda's retail prices. Donate a durable and comfortable Kuranda bed today! Visit Kuranda Dog Beds.

3)Adopt a cat today! Kitten season is in full bloom, the economy is causing people to give up their pets at an unprecedented rate, and despite performing over 13,000 surgeries in our spay/neuter clinic in 2008, pet overpopulation remains at crisis levels. The SPCA is currently caring for more than 300 cats and kittens. To encourage adoptions, the SPCA has cut cat adoption fees by more than half -- to just $40 -- through July 31. To learn more visit SPCA Cats.

4)Join our online family and stay informed on the latest happenings at the SPCA! Just visit www.sspca.org and enter your email address under the red "Join Our Online Community" button on the right-hand side of your screen.

Thank you for being a friend to the animals!
