March 25, 2009

(Sacramento, CA) - Fire sprinklers saved potentially hundreds of animal lives after an early morning fire at the Sacramento SPCA today. The fire, likely electrical in nature, started in the puppy/small dog room of the organization's 40-year-old Receiving Building located at 6201 Florin Perkins Road in Sacramento. All of the animals were saved.

The SPCA houses approximately 400 animals on any given day, and cares for more than 12,000 annually.
