Sacramento SPCA
Kids Art Contest

In honor of Be Kind to Animals Week (May 4-10, 2008), the Sacramento SPCA is offering a Kids Art Contest! Create a piece of original artwork, and submit your entry to the Sacramento SPCA (details for submission below). Show your favorite pet, recall a fun experience you had at the Sacramento SPCA, or tell the world why it's important to be kind to all our animal friends.

Kids Art Contest

We will choose one winner from each of three age categories:

Ages 7 and under
Ages 8-11
Ages 12-15

Winning entries will be featured on the Sacramento SPCA's website, and may appear in a future edition of our quarterly magazine, Heartline. Winners will also receive a $10 Jamba Juice gift card AND be asked to name one of our adoptable SPCA animals (your choice: dog, cat or rabbit!).

Rules for Entry: Be sure to follow the guidelines below when submitting your entry.

Subject

Anything to do with companion animals (dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, etc.)! Keep in mind the "Be Kind to Animals" theme.

Size of Artwork

Your entry should not be smaller than 5" x 7" or larger than 11" x 14". Framed entries will not be accepted.

Use of Materials

You may use any type of paper (white, colored, rough or smooth). The work that you submit may be drawn or painted in pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, crayon, pastel, watercolor, acrylics, poster paints or collage.
